Portfolio Design
For this exercise I first started by designing my homepage. I decided how I wanted it to look like and where I want my text boxes, pictures and buttons to be placed.

To do this I put together a mood board which contain images of different websites taken from Google, in order to inspire me.

By looking at my mood board I noticed that most websites have their buttons going across the page in a horizontal way. I decided to do the same in order to make it look professional.
I then came up with the layout for the other pages and decided that I'll keep the title in the same place as my home page.

However I decide to have my buttons aligned vertically on the page so that I will have enough space for my text boxes and pictures.

I wanted to have the same layout for my other pages in order to keep consistency throughout the website and I thought that by using this layout it makes it easy to use for the users of my website.

I really liked the layout of my home page, however I had to change it as I felt like the initial layout won't give me enough space to work with.

I also thought that it will look better if the home page has the same layout as the other pages and that it will be easier for users to use. It also improves the continuity of my website.

I did keep the title in the same place as I feel that if the title is in the center of the page will stand out more and it will be easier to read and also make it easy for the users to understand what the actual page is going to be about.

I then put together a mind map so that I can get a clear idea of what pages I want to include in my website.

After reading the brief on Blackboard I knew exactly what pages I have to include so I written them down in order to refer back to the mind map if I get stuck.

I draw the design for every single page so that I keep my website simple and not overdo it when I got to build my website.

After having a look at my mind map and the design of my pages I decided to have a button for every page linked to all pages in order to make the navigation easy.

While drawing my design I have also put down the titles of the pages and where I want the text and pictures to be. I kept the same structure throughout my whole website again for the consistency reason.
